Welcome to A Young Boy Named David

Our Mission

So many of our young ones are living through traumatic childhoods. They often feel like they have no one that understands them and they can grow up with pain in their hearts and nightmares in their minds. Our mission with this book series is to help these children learn how to process and understand what they are going through. The experiences in the series are taken directly from the author, David M. Smith’s, own childhood. He truly believes that retelling his story from the perspective of a young boy will reach into kids’ hearts and help them to grow and heal into the beautiful adults they were always meant to be.

As a parent, I am thrilled with what my daughter Cathy is learning from the Young Boy Named David series. Each book addresses real life challenges in a way that’s relatable and meaningful for kids. Cathy has not only enjoyed the stories, but has also started conversations about important topics she never brought up before. I love how these books empower her to think critically, show empathy, and feel more confident in expressing her thoughts. This series has been a wonderful tool for both learning and personal growth
